PHYSICAL BAD HABITS

Are built more gyms and sports facilities than ever more people studying to become a nutritionist, trainer or massage therapist ... The culture is increasingly being developed and yet, the Spanish we care as usual (bad) or even less. We need everyone's support to change it. Spain is and has always been a country in which there are many bad health habits: eating late, sleeping little, and so on. Currently, the Spanish still sleeping less hours than they should, eat poorly and in the worst moment and do very little sport. We have the ideal profile for experiencing conditions of all kinds: physical ailments and psychological fatigue. And it is quite strange that in an era when the cult of the body sends us very few who follow the most appropriate health patterns. It happens that our lives become more sedentary as the years pass. We work all day sitting in front of a computer (most, not all) and when we got home we sat in front of the TV and rest for a while. It would be logical aprovechásemos free time to move, to walk and see things, but we are tired. If we do then we no longer have time for anything. With the number of gyms that is, with increasingly skilled professionals and specialized, not waste the opportunity to get in shape. Physical expenditure of energy that we made there, compensates our mood. People do not believe it, but really one leaves the gym with more strength and energy with which he entered. And so it stays in shape and feel good about yourself. The fitness professionals can develop specific routines for each of us, exercise is best for us. Similarly, if we eat so unhealthy, you can visit the consultation of a dietitian or nutritionist to help us, with their advanced knowledge, to develop the exact diet to get to reach our ideal weight, but above all, to get used to eat what is best for our bodies and our health. Many people, especially young people studying these subjects because they consider a safe bet for their future because they feel that this can help others to switch to a healthy lifestyle. Now we have to restore that trust and others that effort. Moreover, for our sake

BAD HABITS OF SIGHT

Some of the most common problems of the eye are called refractive errors. These are the problems usually seek eye care professionals in eye exams. Refraction is the change in direction of light rays to focus the light from an image. Refractive errors are problems with how to approach the eye, because of its shape, which makes us to see the blurred image. Some refractive errors are:

* Astigmatism. Astigmatism is a problem in the curvature of the cornea. This causes part of the picture you get the eye is blurry. The corrective lenses (contact lenses or glasses) usually correct vision in people with astigmatism.

* Myopia. Myopia occurs when the eye focuses the image of an object in front of the retina rather than directly on it. In most cases, people do not look good from afar but you can see close objects clearly. This condition tends to deteriorate a bit in childhood and adolescence, but stabilizes in adulthood. People with this condition may need glasses or contact lenses to correct vision. Laser surgery is often used in adults to correct nearsightedness permanently by changing the shape of the cornea. Laser surgery is not performed in children and teens because the eye can grow and refractive error, change.

* Hyperopia. Farsightedness occurs when the image that comes does not focus on the retina, but behind it. This makes it difficult to see close objects clearly, although they do look good distant objects. Glasses or contact lenses can correct this problem in children and adolescents. Most adults develop a form of farsightedness called presbyopia.
Other eye problems that can affect children and adolescents are:
Blindness. Loss of view is useful. Blindness can be temporary or permanent and is due to many causes. Congenital defects or lesions in any part of the eye, optic nerve or brain region responsible for vision can lead to blindness. Visual impairment can not be corrected with surgery or corrective lenses and medical condition can be difficult to perform everyday activities. Diabetes, the problems of the macula and the changes that occur in the eye due to age are responsible for most cases of blindness in the United States.
Falls. Some children are born with cataracts, a clouding of the eye that prevents a clear view images, or simply to be seen. But cataracts are much more common in older people, who were operated on to remove and correct vision. In infants and toddlers, try the falls to avoiding permanent problems in the development of vision.
Blindness. Color blindness is caused by problems in the pigmentation of the cones of the retina. Most colorblind people see some colors. In most cases, a color blind person confuses some colors with others, usually red and green. Some people are born color-blind and some people develop this condition over time. The most common type of color blindness is an inherited condition that affects more boys than girls. Color blindness can not be corrected.
Conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis is inflammation (redness, pain and swelling) of the conjunctiva. A variety of conjunctivitis is called pinkeye, a common contagious infection that causes red, and watery eyes and sometimes secrete pus. Acute conjunctivitis is usually treated with eyedrops. Conjunctivitis can also be caused by allergies or a scratch on the surface of the eye.
Dacryostenosis. The dacryostenosis is an obstruction of the lacrimal drainage system that occurs in the lower eyelid. It is a fairly common problem in infants but usually improve with time.
Eye injuries. Eye injuries are one of the most common preventable causes of blindness. Eye injuries can be caused by irritants such as sand, dirt or foreign bodies in the ocular surface. Chemicals or foreign bodies that are embedded in the eye may also cause pain and vision loss. A violent impact to the eye can cause bleeding inside the eye and damage to the cornea, retina and other important eye structures.
Glaucoma. One of the main causes of blindness in the United States, glaucoma is a disorder that causes increased pressure inside the eye and potentially damage the optic nerve. Although they can appear in infants and children, is much more common in older adults. Unless detected early in routine testing is not usually diagnosed until it has lost some vision.
Macular degeneration is an eye disease that mainly affects older people, but sometimes also develop babies and children. Where a person has macular degeneration, central retinal scars present. This causes the deterioration of sight over the years. In most cases, no known cause of macular degeneration but tends to run in families, indicating that genes and heredity are involved.
Retinoblastoma. It is a malignant tumor of the eye that usually appears in the first 5 years of life. It can cause permanent vision loss and the removal of the affected eye.
Retinopathy of prematurity. Sometimes, premature babies have blood vessels damage the retina, a condition known as retinopathy of prematurity, which can lead to severe vision loss in some cases.
Strabismus. It is a condition in which the eyes are crossed. Strabismus is usually caused by a defect in the balance of the force exerted by the muscles that help the eyes stay straight and move together properly. The surgery of the eye muscles can reset your eyes. If not treated in childhood can lead to permanent loss of vision in the eye less used (a condition known as amblyopia).
Sty. A stye is an infection of the follicles where the eyelashes grow. Styes are treated with hot compresses and antibiotics.
 THE BAD MENTAL HABITS

When people are under chronic stress tend to smoke, drink, use drugs or overeating to cope with stress. These behaviors activate a cascade of biological events that helps prevent depression but also contribute to a number of physical problems that eventually lead to an early death.
This is what we affirm the social scientist at the University of Michigan, James, S. Jackson and colleagues in an article published in the May 2010 issue of American Journal of Public Health. The theory helps explain a long-standing epidemiological paradox: why blacks have poorer physical health than whites but better psychiatric health?
"People engage in bad habits for functional reasons, not character weakness or ignorance," said Jackson, director of the Institute for Social Research (ISR for its acronym in English) of the University of Michigan.
"In the course of life the strategies to deal with reality and the problems that are effective in the 'preservation' of the mental health of blacks can operate in concert with social, economic and environmental factors that produce disparities in physical health in middle age and later in life, "he added.
In an analysis of survey data obtained from the same people in two different moments in time, Jackson and his colleagues found evidence of his theory. The relationship between stressful life events and depression varies with the level of adverse health behaviors. But the direction of that relationship is strikingly different for blacks and whites.
To the extent that control the extent of stressful life events that a person has experienced harmful behaviors appeared to protect blacks against depression but the white lead to higher levels of depression.
"Many black Americans are chronically insecure and difficult environments," said Jackson. "These environments produce stressful living conditions and often more readily available options for dealing with stress are more harmful behavior. These behaviors can relieve stress by the same mechanisms that are thought to contribute to certain mental disorders: the axis of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) and related biological systems. "
Since the negative health behaviors such as smoking, alcohol drinking, drug use and overeating (especially foods rewarding) also have direct and debilitating effects on physical health, these behaviors, along with conditions hardship that give reason to these behaviors, contribute to inequalities in mortality and physical health problems among black and white.
These disparities in physical health and mortality are higher in middle age and more advanced, said Jackson.

THE BAD HABITS FOOD

Dietary habits depend largely on cultural patterns and traditions that the family transmits to its offspring.Since the birth of the children begins a process of teaching and learning, unintentional and unconscious, focusing on the family diet. Thus, the family table and the act of eating becomes the center of a succession of parents and other adults give children, leading them to define their preferences and dislikes, their favoritism to certain types of food preparation and , especially, to know the proper size of the rations. Moreover, in many families establishing a close relationship between affection and love of parents, especially mothers, and how to serve the table as an expression of that love. Many people come to connect both the affection with food when they feel some strong emotion (anger, fear, sadness), uncontrolled eating, and some come to make this a habit and eat when they feel lonely, frustrated or are facing any situation that creates anxiety, as the birth of a baby, changing jobs or moving to another city.In many modern societies, food is the best way to close a deal or celebrating a special event. Social learning are those which incorporates the individual and that as time passes lead him to develop, together with their customs, their obesity. As important as eating habits, is the habit we have trained since childhood to be active or playing sports or exercise. People who engage in some exercise in a disciplined manner over a lifetime are kept healthier and better control of their weight and body shape than those who do not

SENSE OF SIGHT
Vision is called the ability to interpret our environment by light rays reaching the eye. The vision or sense of sight is one of the main sensory capabilities of man and many animals.
To be able to need the proper functioning of the visual system is composed of the eye, optic nerve and various brain structures.
The eye is the gateway for entering light stimuli are transformed into electrical impulses through a specialized cells of the retina are the rods and cones.
The optic nerve transmits electrical impulses generated in the retina to the brain, where they are processed in the cortex visual.1
In the brain takes place the complicated process of visual perception by which we can perceive the shape of objects, identifying distances and detect colors and movement.
The injury of one of the visual system structures can cause blindness but the rest does not present any alteration. In Cortical Blindness caused by an injury to the occipital region of the brain, there is complete loss of vision while the eye and optic nerve show no abnormality
MENTAL LIFE

In recent decades, issues that reside at the center of philosophical and psychological inquiry have been absorbed into a scientific framework variously identified as "brain science," "cognitive science," and "cognitive neuroscience." Scholars have heralded this development as revolutionary, but a revolution implies an existing method has been overturned in favor of something new. What long-held theories have been abandoned or significantly modified in light of cognitive neuroscience?

Consciousness and Mental Life questions our present approach to the study of consciousness and the way modern discoveries either mirror or contradict understandings reached in the centuries leading up to our own. Daniel N. Robinson does not wage an attack on the emerging discipline of cognitive science. Rather, he provides the necessary historical context to properly evaluate the relationship between issues of consciousness and neuroscience and their evolution over time.

Robinson begins with Aristotle and the ancient Greeks and continues through to René Descartes, David Hume, William James, Daniel Dennett, John Searle, Richard Rorty, Hilary Putnam, and Derek Parfit. Approaching the issue from both a philosophical and a psychological perspective, Robinson identifies what makes the study of consciousness so problematic and asks whether cognitive neuroscience can truly reveal the origins of mental events, emotions, and preference, or if these occurrences are better understood by studying the whole person, not just the brain. Well-reasoned and thoroughly argued, Consciousness and Mental Life corrects many claims made about the success of brain science and provides a valuable historical context for the study of human consciousness.

Physical activity is also an effective remedy for insomnia because it contributes to the recovery of energy at night, be able to fall asleep faster and deeper rest. However, despite all these obvious benefits of physical activity, many Person usually fail in the attempt to incorporate it into their physical activity habits. Clubs and gyms are filled in the spring from motivations such as retrieving the figure in view of the summer. But even when you start the activity for medical reasons, attrition is important to understand that the visible results are scarce in the short term and significant benefits appear only later associated with effort and perseverance. For those people whose personal history are immediate satisfaction in physical activity, carry out a training program does not pose any challenge. But for those who have not developed throughout his life the interest in this kind of healthy habits, start at the physical demands in adulthood tends to be boring and even frustrating at first. For those people, we propose some unconventional thoughts:
1. Put goals short: if you have never exercised before not seeking to incorporate the athlete habits overnight. Start with a lightweight program and increase it as you improve your fitness. For aéorbica activity is a good measure of demand to sustain a conversation while exercising.
2. Improve the figure is an additional consequence of training, but this is not the only benefit. Put eyes on broader goals and find greater satisfaction in the effort. Remember that physical fitness is maintained while continuing the activity, and in this sense the goal is not physical but to achieve a given transform sedentary lifestyles.
3. There are different forms of physical activity: find the one that best suits your taste. Do not be influenced by fashion, not always what they "used" at the moment is what serves their interest.
4. Order your free time: a common excuse is lack of time. This is generally true, but change some priorities can help us find the little free time we need. Think fitness allows us to improve overall performance.

Find a social environment that suits your personality and make you feel comfortable in a new space.
7. Rely on a coach: often need more encouragement. Working with an individual or group coaching can help take the training with the force of conviction that we are doing a good work plan, while we are encouraged when the coach stating the importance of our progress.
